I'm back and leveling up The Texture Archives!
In the time I've been away I learned you don't need a camera to take pictures (tho the pictures themselves will still never actually happen without some kind of capture device unfortunately). I've been using my eyes a lot to think about the picture before the picture, about the image I wanted before I pressed the shutter. I started leaving my camera at home and without realising it I kept taking pictures; I kept looking at those landscapes and people and all kinds of random things and processed them in the back of my head while walking by as if I were composing through the viewfinder.
So after some time I picked up my camera again and took it to a massive art festival my friends were putting together. My pictures were better without any aparent practice. Sure I was aware of this "taking pictures without the camera" zen kind of thing and surely my mind had some time to crystalize all my previous knowledge but hot damn even I surprised myself after looking at the edited stuff.
A lot of these pictures do not belong in dA (I have a flickr
for that); here in dA I upload the more experimental/conceptual/artsy stuff plus journals and more comunity interaction related things, but most importantly, them textures.
I'm giving dA a shot again. I will start making packs and uploading them here. be watchin' ;b
