This is so far one of the best shots I've done; what's most remarkable to me is that I managed it in not so awesome light conditions (6 hard incandescent ceiling dichroic lights, 2 right above the subject and 2 behind). I exposed for the sadows and saw it resulted in a nice bright background so I used that. Her dress also reflects a bit of light filling the shadows a little further.
Most post-editing went into fine tunning light: edited tone curves to cap blacks at a dark gray and get more whites all across the picture and a tiny bit of dual tone; then there's the usual eye brushes and general noise reduction plus a very tiny little bit of blur to go with an angelic feel.
This was also shot without a flash. I'm buying one next week (likely a guide 60 ^^) and I can't help constantly wondering how that would have contributed to this situation.
If anything, the only self critique I have is that the area arround the eyes has a little more shade than I'd like. I guess could always use someone else's input ^^
